Shaded pole motor is a very important type of motor. We may encounter some problems or failures when using shaded pole motors. If we do not understand shaded pole motors, we may face such embarrassment and be at a loss. In order to avoid this situation, let's take a look at the characteristics and fault types of shaded pole motors.
Features:
1. Reasonable structural design, flexible lead-out direction, and the shaded pole motor junction box itself can be rotated and installed.
2. Superior shaded pole motor performance, low noise, low vibration, high performance protection level
3. Numerous options to meet various user needs for installing thermistors
4. Adopting optimized design, it has high efficiency and can produce considerable energy-saving effects.
5. Install various requirements such as dust-proof sealing ring, heating belt, oil-proof sealing ring, oil injection, special shaft extension, special flange, etc.
Fault type:
1. Insulating skeleton or insulating material
The skeleton is generally injection molded. The quality of the mold, the control of the injection molding process, and the cleanliness of the plastic particles will all cause defects. The defects in the skeleton or insulation material include the following categories:
(1) The skeleton is short of material;
(2) Damage;
(3) Worn out by the short-circuit ring;
(4) The skeleton contains impurities;
(5) There is oil and other dirt on the surface of the skeleton;
(6) The insulation sheet is punctured.
2. Thread hanging during wire package winding process
During winding, on the one hand, the stator and the frame do not fit closely together; on the other hand, the winding needle of the winding machine may not be adjusted to be completely in the middle and upper part of the frame. During winding, there is a certain arc when winding the needle with the wire, which may cause the enameled wire not to be as designed. When the track is embedded in the wire package, there will be wire hanging, that is, the enameled wire is not wound on the plastic skeleton. There may be one or more loops wrapped around the inner or outer groove wall of the skeleton groove or slipping from the gap between the skeleton and the silicon steel sheet stator. It is directly wound on the stator. This type of fault occurs most frequently. Other undesirable phenomena include:
(1) The first loop of thread hanging at the beginning of winding;
(2) The skeleton has burrs and the wires are stuck and cannot be embedded;
(3) Waste wires fell into the wire package during the production process;
(4) The wire package is deviated to one side or fully out.
3. Hanging wires caused by wiring process
(1) The connectors between the wire packages are not arranged and stuffed into the frame after welding, and the wire ends are too close to the stator and end cover;
(2) The last ring of enameled wire loosened and fell out of the frame without being found. Pull it directly from the outside of the frame and from the stator;
(3) Floating wire at the lead-out;
(4) The thermal protector extrudes the wire. The general structure is to wrap the enameled wire around the copper core wire of the thermal protector lead and cover it with a sleeve for insulation protection. However, if it is misaligned, it will cause breakdown.
To sum up, the characteristics of the shaded pole motor determine that it has certain advantages compared to ordinary fans, but it also has certain defects, so we should pay attention to these two sides of the shaded pole motor. The fault types of shaded pole motors are quite complex, and we should be patient and meticulous when conducting fault analysis. Our company has a wide range of shaded pole motors, including not only Single Phase Shaded Pole Motor, but also Air Fryer Shaded Pole Motor.
